Ways to Help Move our Mission Forward!

Family Stores

We currently have 2 locations for our Family Thrift Store.  Our South Family store is located on US 41 just south of Gladiolus, and our Cape Family store on Del Prado Blvd.  Duties would include merchandising, sorting donations, cleaning and customer service.

Social Services

This includes almost everything that is done at the Center of Hope (located at 2400 Edison Avenue, Fort Myers, Florida 33901) including Food Services, Food Pantry, residential shelter and Community Resource Center.

Angel Tree program

The Salvation Army Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts to thousands of children in need around our community every year. It’s one way we show families that despite the challenges they face, there is hope, especially during the holiday season. Opportunities are available to help organize gifts as they come in and distribute the gifts and food boxes to our families during distribution. Distribution dates are December 18-21st.  Please check the schedule by logging in to your personal landing page or contact Danielle Dimakarakos at danielle.dimakarakos@uss.salvationarmy.org to sign up and become a volunteer.

Christmas Red Kettle/Bellringing

Be a part of our iconic Red Kettle program during the Christmas holiday! Please go to https://www.registertoring.com/ to find the location and shift of your choice and register today!

Administration

Work performed within this group relates to a wide range of assignments in the provision of staff support to the internal operations and projects of the organization.

Operations

Operations covers maintenance and sustainability of our facilities and equipment. Most volunteer opportunities will be by special request. Many of our corporate sponsors have participated in large group volunteer projects such as grounds work to our facilities, giving new life to our shelter rooms by painting, cleaning and so much more.

Emergency Disaster Services

The Salvation Army has been responding to disasters for over 100 years. Additional training is required to be considered for deployment. Local response is open to all approved volunteers.

Labelle/Clewiston Unit

Our Labelle/Clewiston Unit is located at 133 N Bridge St Labelle, Fl 33935 inside the United Way House.

We need volunteers to assist with our Food Pantry by unloading trucks, stocking pantry shelves, and making food bags to serve our neighbors who are struggling with food insecurity.
