Volunteer Opportunities for General Shelter Support Include:
Administrative Assistant - Volunteers in this role assist staff with administrative tasks such as stuffing letters, labeling envelopes, assembling adoption folders, responding to wildlife emails, filing, data entry, and other jobs as needed. Open to teens.
Shifts scheduled: Mon, Wed, Fri from 1 to 3pm
Foster Admin Volunteer - Volunteers assist the foster team with administrative tasks such as answering emails, data entry, updating animal records, scheduling vaccine appointments, and preparing foster go-bags.
This is an on-demand role with no set shift schedule
Photography Volunteer - They say a picture is worth a thousand words and that is certainly true for adoptable animals. High-quality photographs that capture an animal’s personality get pets adopted. It’s a fact. If wrangling animals isn’t your speed, we can also use boots on the ground to capture AWLA events and community programs for social media, emails, direct mail, and our image library. Whether either or both, this is a great opportunity to use your photography skills for good! (Note: We know you’re not an octopus, so for posed pet photos we match you up with an assistant.)
This is an on-demand role with no set shift schedule
Shelter Animal Transport - Shelter Animal Transport Volunteers help AWLA by transporting shelter animals to/from local vets, fosters, and partner rescues in their own vehicle with their own gas.
This is an on-demand role with no set shift schedule
