Animal Control

 

Volunteer Opportunities with Animal Control include:

 

Wildlife Transport - Wildlife Transport Volunteers transport injured and/or orphaned wildlife (e.g., baby squirrel, bird, chipmunk, raccoon, etc.) to area licensed rehabilitators who are able to provide temporary care until the animal is released back into the wild. Volunteers are notified when an animal is in need of transport via text and use their own vehicle with no gas reimbursement.

Community Cat Volunteer -  Community cat volunteers assist Community Cat Caregivers to participate in the League’s Community Cat program who might otherwise be unable to due to disability, lack of transportation, or other complications.

Community Animal Response Team (CART) Volunteer -  Community animal response team volunteers provide education to the public, participate in county wide preparedness events and drills, maintain the emergency response trailer and inventory, and provide aid and response during CART activation in an emergency.
