Special Events Assistant - Events offer a great opportunity for AWLA to make new friends and promote all the ways the shelter helps animals and people in the community. Volunteers in this role help with AWLA-organized events like fundraisers and friendraisers. AWLA events range from small to large, indoor and outdoor, on-site and off-site. Volunteers help with everything from set-up to break-down and all the odd jobs in between. Events are labor-intensive and volunteers are crucial to their success.

Community Tabling Volunteer - Neighborhood events provide a great way to promote our work and services. Volunteers in this role represent the shelter by tabling at community-organized events such as farmers markets and neighborhood fairs.

Event Animal Handler (Cat and Dog) - Help our shelter animals put their best paw forward at AWLA and community events throughout Arlington! Volunteers will provide transport to and from events and show available animals to the public during the event.
