Description
Young Elite Management is a sports management mentoring company, registered as a Community Interest Company, that will offer sports management and mentoring services (initially football but longer term the plan is to extend to other sports). These services will include identifying young talented players from communities and areas, offering opportunities to train through recommended coaching services, and also ensuring they are given effective mentoring and guidance to remain focused.
The overall company slogan and aim being ‘combining talent with guidance and opportunity’ as well as ‘Providing effective mentoring for sport enhancement’.
The duties
We are recruiting for a gifted and professional Community Outreach Coordinator to maintain all community outreach activities. You will be required to represent the company and work with the management team to develop and implement initiatives that increase company visibility within the surrounding community.
The Community Outreach Coordinator will represent the company and work with the Executive Director to develop and implement initiatives that increase company visibility within the surrounding community. Community outreach coordinators plan, direct or coordinate activities designed to create or maintain a favourable public image or raise issue awareness for their organisation or client.
Key responsibilities and the work that you will get to undertake will be quite varied but will include the following:
- Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances and other communication opportunities.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and manage multiple projects at one time.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs and time pressures.
- Ability to disseminate information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to communicate professionally and build relationships with co-workers, volunteers, customers, donors, and vendors.
- Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships at all levels of the agency; internal and external
- Proven relationship-building skills to support collaboration and partnership activities.
- Ability to track, analyse, and adjust programs and processes as necessary
- Support the Line Manager with scheduling all departmental activities
- Schedule regular outreach exhibitions in the community and educate employees on community responsibility.
As a community outreach coordinator, you'll need to:
- Knowledge in marketing, journalism, public relations, social services, or related field.
- Experience in the field may be advantageous.
- Strong industry knowledge.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Experience with institutional databases, public access sites, and primary research skills.
- Good reporting, technical, and statistical skills.
- Willing to work unsocialable hours
- Able to represent our project within community environments
- Experience with budget management.
