Volunteering is a great opportunity for you to use your skills to make a real difference to the running of your fundraising group, whilst meeting new people and getting involved in your local community.

From managing the group’s accounts, promoting Gift Aid, to thanking our wonderful supporters for their donations, your role will involve all things numbers.

"Our Fundraising Groups are really important to Sense, being our local ambassadors for the charity and allowing us to tell the story of the people we support to even more people. Our Treasurers are trusted with the finances of the group and are therefore vital to the running of the Group.” Jenny, Head of Events & Community.

Your time is precious, so we will talk about the time commitment you are able to make. Your safety is important to us and we’ll work together to make your activities covid-secure; supporting your group in developing virtual activities and socially distanced ways to engage with your community. You will be provided with full training for your role. We are here to support you to make your fundraising group a success! Please note that this volunteering opportunity is available to applicants aged 18 and over.

Sense is committed to providing equality of opportunity for everyone we work with. Everyone's contribution is valued, and we welcome applications from people from all sections of the community who share our values and belief in our mission.

Megan used to be social and active having attended many family days with her Mum, Dad and Sister. As the lockdown took hold, her opportunity to socialise slipped away as the family shielded themselves to protect her.

Sense has been able to provide support to Megan and the whole family while keeping socially distant and safe. Megan has been able to attend her favourite sessions over video conferencing including sensory stories and drumming sessions. While still shielding, the family rely on Sense to help support Megan through this difficult time.

We really hope that you decide to join us as a volunteer to enable us to continue to make a difference to children like Megan and her family - we are excited to hear from you!
