Avery Recreation Volunteer Opportunities

Special Events

Join our Special Events team to stay informed about any event volunteer opportunities that we have throughout the year!

Special Events occur periodically throughout the year. Avery Recreation Events may include Planet Palooza, Penny Carnival, Art in the Park, the Children's Halloween Party, and more. There are a variety of volunteer needs at these events such as setting up and tearing down event materials, guiding guests, serving food/drink, running activities, and more.

The Special Events team is a great option for anyone who wants a more infrequent volunteer commitment, as our events are spread out throughout the year. Although we always welcome returning event volunteers! With larger special events, we may also be in need of group volunteers.

Skills: Special events have several needs, so skillset required will vary. No matter what your skills, events team has a place for you to serve the community without an ongoing time commitment.

Requirements: depend on role - some roles have no specific requirements, others may require background check, food handlers’ permit and/or OLCC license
