Master Composter
The City of Arlington is offering a volunteer opportunity in the Public Works department with our Environmental Programs Coordinator. In response to the need to keep yard trimmings out of our landfill, this Master Composter program is designed to train and recruit local volunteers who will promote backyard composting and yard waste reduction in their own neighborhoods and assist with teaching backyard composting at one of our four compost locations.
Responsibilities:

Earn 40 composting volunteer hours

Volunteer at special events
-
Assist in teaching backyard composting
Skills/Qualifications:

Working outside (in heat or cold)

Volunteering for special events, backyard compost classes and compost demonstrations
