As a Cat Care and Enrichment Volunteer, you will assist with cleaning, feeding, and socializing the cats in our care.
Responsibilities:
- General cleaning and disinfecting of the cat premises and equipment, handle cats
- Follow cat care plans for feeding requirements
- Provide cats with appropriate mental stimulation and positive physical contact
- Provide relief from emotional stress, through approved animal enrichment practices and activities
- Document individual cat behaviours and reactions after each interaction
Qualifications/Interests:
- Eagerness to increase your knowledge of cats
- Comfortable handling cats and kittens
- Ability to work independently and be supportive of the Society’s policies and procedures
- Must be over the age of 14
- Ability to provide proof of vaccination
