The Support Participation and Inclusion: Reach-out, Involve, and Transform (SPIRIT) Volunteer Program aims to:
- Increase involvement and access for individuals with disabilities in our community in recreation activities
- Offer valuable and rewarding volunteer experience
- Provide opportunities to cultivate personal development and education
- Advocate and foster opportunities for inclusion for all members of our diverse community

Volunteer in a supported social recreation program for children with disabilities. Activities include crafts, painting, games in the gymnasium and much more. Learn new skills in communicating visually and verbally to provide the best experience for participants.

Sensory Spaces - SPIRIT Volunteer
During large events, the City of Surrey offer Sensory Spaces as calm and quiet areas with activities and seating designed to be supportive for those with sensory sensitivities to recharge. Volunteers help set up, manage the space, and clean-up after the event.
