Emergency Disaster Services - EDS Team Member
Reports to: EDS Director
The EDS program is designed to ensure that the Department of Public Safety is supported while dealing with major disasters. Some examples of support we will provide are food, water and blankets while they are performing their duties.
First Response Members must have the physical ability to meet requirements for assistance which may include lifting, bending, walking long distances, working in extreme conditions and more.
First Response Members will take appropriate action upon receiving alerts from local emergency stations to assist local authorities with rescue, disaster and other community emergencies while following proper safety protocols set by director and local authorities. Members must receive Disaster Training and any other training that is required.
