Food Pantry

Objective: Provide assistance to clients shopping in the food pantry, manage donations, and maintain an organized, clean environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist clients with vouchers and shopping
  • Assist with donations delivered
  • Stock shelves and maintain warehouse
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs. (if able)
  • Manage paperwork for clients
  • General cleaning
  • Manage inventory 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and carry goods 
  • Dependability and punctuality 
  • Pleasant and respectful demeanor
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs. (helpful, but not required for all)
  • Spanish and other language skills besides English (helpful, but not required)

Supervisor: Volunteer Manager

Time Commitment: Daily five-hour shifts

Volunteer Hours Recording: Volunteer management website each shift

Orientation and Task Training: Provided by the volunteer manager or supervisor on duty

Location: Metrocrest Services Food Pantry (Farmer's Branch)
