Emergency Disaster Services - Mobile Kitchen Service

Disasters can strike at any time. This is why The Salvation Army takes response seriously and always stands ready. Our local mobile kitchen (canteen) team serves throughout four counties: LaSalle, Grundy, Bureau, and Putnam, serving not only victims of natural disaster, but also workers and volunteers on the front lines.

The mobile kitchen team shops for food, prepares hot meals, delivers, and sometimes serves those in need during local disasters or emergency response support calls. Visit our website and fill out the EDS Volunteer Interest Form to join the team!

  • How much can you lift comfortably? Must be at least 20 lbs
  • What age category do you belong? Must be at least 18 or older
