As an Aged Care Activities Volunteer at Buckland Nursing Home or Bindaree Retirement Centre, you'll help residents stay socially connected, engaged and involved in activities that bring enjoyment and purpose to their day.
How you can help
- Assist with group activities including games, crafts, music and conversations.
- Support residents during outings and local bus trips.
- Encourage social interaction and meaningful connections.
- Help celebrate special events such as Australia Day, ANZAC Day, Easter, Christmas and other community celebrations.
- Share your interests, talents and enthusiasm to create enjoyable experiences for residents.
What we're looking for
- A friendly, caring and reliable approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Respect for older people and a genuine interest in supporting their wellbeing.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow staff guidance.
