COMMUNITY BUS DRIVER VOLUNTEER
Help older people and community members stay connected, engaged and involved through safe and reliable transport.
As a Community Bus Driver Volunteer, you will support aged care residents and community group participants by providing transport to outings, social activities and community events. Your contribution helps people remain active, connected and able to enjoy meaningful experiences within the community.
How you can help
- Safely drive residents and participants to pre-arranged outings, activities and appointments.
- Support scenic drives, social excursions and community-based activities.
- Work alongside staff and fellow volunteers to ensure passengers are comfortable and supported throughout the journey.
- Assist in creating a welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable experience for all passengers.
- Help maintain the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants during transport.
What we're looking for
- A current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence.
- A friendly, caring and reliable approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to passenger safety and wellbeing.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow staff guidance.
