Help older people stay active, connected and engaged through social activities, outings and shared experiences.

As a Social Group Volunteer, you'll support a welcoming fortnightly program for community members with independent mobility. The Social Group provides opportunities for friendship, social connection and participation in a range of enjoyable activities both within the community and beyond.

How you can help

• Assist with group activities, outings and social events.
• Support participants during walks, movement-based activities and visits to local attractions.
• Encourage social interaction and meaningful connections amongst group members.
• Help participants feel comfortable, included and engaged throughout the day.
• Provide a friendly and supportive presence during activities and outings.
• Contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable environment.

What we're looking for

• A friendly, caring and reliable approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, patience and respect for people from diverse backgrounds.
• A genuine interest in supporting community participation and social connection.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow staff guidance.

When you can volunteer

• Fortnightly on Thursdays, 10:30am – 2:30pm.
