MEALS ON WHEELS VOLUNTEER
Deliver more than a meal, provide connection, support and a friendly face to members of our community.
As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will help support people to remain independent at home by delivering nutritious meals and providing valuable social interaction. Your visit may be a highlight of someone's day, offering both practical support and meaningful connection.
How you can help
- Collect prepared meals from Mansfield District Hospital's main kitchen from 11:30am, Monday to Friday.
- Deliver meals to community members within the local area.
- Provide a friendly greeting, conversation and social connection during deliveries.
- Support the wellbeing and independence of people living in our community.
- Represent Mansfield District Hospital in a professional and caring manner.

- A friendly, caring and reliable approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience and respect for people from diverse backgrounds.
- A genuine interest in supporting members of the community.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
