Township of Tiny

Position Purpose/Goals

• Oversee the Perkinsfield Park Community Garden and the Township of Tiny Food Bank Garden.
• Act as a liaison between gardeners, volunteers, and Township staff.
• Support gardeners in achieving their goals.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Communicate with gardeners, volunteers, and Township staff.
• Coordinate volunteer tasks (prep, weeding, watering, harvesting, cleanup).
• Address garden needs and report concerns to staff.
• Enforce garden guidelines and mediate disputes with staff support.
• Respond to questions and concerns.
• Manage garden tools and equipment.
• Maintain clean, productive garden spaces.

Expected Time Commitment

• May to October
• 5-10 hours per week

Skills, experience and qualifications

• Gardening knowledge and enthusiasm
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Independent, reliable, and team-oriented
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Supervisory experience is an asset
