STEM Club is a weekly, drop-in STEM program for children ages 5-10.  Each week, children are introduced to a STEM concept, then complete an art project to reflect on what they’ve learned. 

Educational Park Branch Library is seeking 1-2 engaged volunteers who want to improve their skills working with children and share their enthusiasm for STEM with the community.  

Volunteers will: 

  • Direct activities with students and occasionally parent/caregivers 

  • Assist with program setup and breakdown 

Commitment: 

  • Volunteers are expected to attend all programs for the length of the commitment  

  • Missing more than two sessions will result in being dropped from the program 

  • Semester-long session (Fall: September 3 – December 17). 

  • Every Thursday (3:45pm – 5pm) 

Requirement: 

  • Ages 15-18 

  • Ages 18+ are required to get fingerprinted 

Qualifications Required

  • Age Must be at least 15+
  • Oral and written communication skills in English Must be at least High
  • Online Orientation for On-site Volunteers Completed Must be Yes
