Programmatic - Computer Assembly Assistant
Educational Park Branch Library is seeking volunteers for a group Computer Assembly Program. You'll be taught how to assemble/disassemble multiple types of computers ahead of time then you will teach others in a group setting. Help local students achieve academic success, and introduce them into the fields of computers and technology. Teens and Adults welcome. You'll need to be trained or show you know your way around computers prior to volunteering. You can either make a 1v1 appointment for training, or show up to a Computer Assembly Class and learn that way.
Volunteers will:
- Assist with instruction and facilitating program with the guidance of the program lead
- Assist with program setup and breakdown
- Schedule Assessment/Training session prior to events.
Commitment:
- As needed. Opportunities will be scheduled on Better Impact.
Event Agenda:
1) setup tables/computers/accessories
2) event (assist public with computer disassembly/re-assembly)
3) troubleshoot/fix pcs, then cleanup
Qualifications Required
- Age Must be at least 13+
- Computer Assembly Assistant Training Must be Completed
