Description

As a Day Centre volunteer, you ensure smooth work flow during the senior clients’ meal service while maintaining a friendly, comfortable, inviting dining room atmosphere. 

Volunteer responsibilities:

You are expected to be punctual, reliable, discreet, respectful, and follow the sanitary measures in vigour. You are required to help staff serve meals, converse respectfully with seniors, wash dishes and utensils using an automated dishwasher, put away condiments, clean dishes and kitchen equipment, and sanitize work areas as required.

Morning Shift (9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.): Set tables, greet & assist clients arriving, make and serve coffee. 

For the Afternoon Shift: 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.: Get dish trays, service food, clear tables and bring dish trays back.

Qualifications:  You must follow established food sanitation and safety guidelines as per e-module.
