Support The North Team

This year, with your help, we managed to open the Provincial Animal Transfer Hub. PATH accepted and successfully transferred out 91 dogs in total and we know now that we will be able to support even more dogs next year.

This year the Ontario SPCA transferred 140+ dogs from the North to Central Ontario for adoption.

None of this would have been possible without all of you. From dog walking to administration, transfer days to intakes- you name it, our volunteers supported us through the entire process. Although this is the end for 2019- we are excited for what 2020 has in store for us! We cannot wait to meet all of our new four-legged friends :)

Wishing you and your loved ones all the best this holiday season and looking forward to seeing you in the New Year,

Cayt, Jocelyn, Jillian,Britt,Meredith, Britt & Katie and the rest of the staff at the Ontario SPCA and Humane Societies

Support The North Program

Support The North Program

The Ontario SPCA in collaboration with Associated Partners, created the Support The North Program. The Program saves more animal lives through a liked-minded Animal Welfare network that enables safe and meaningful pet relocation to areas where the possibility of finding a forever home is greatest. Resource sharing bolsters animal care needs permitting access to the most remote indigenous, rural and urban areas in Ontario.

Support The North Program

Helps transport animals to save more lives across Ontario and beyond.
