Interested in volunteering with children aged 5-13? Join our children’s program team!

Children’s volunteers take on a variety of exciting roles including:

  • assisting with program activities
  • learning alongside our team of experienced staff
  • create a fun and safe space for children in our programs

About Burnaby’s children’s programs

Our City of Burnaby children’s programs come in all shapes and sizes. Our programs can range in size from 12 to 36 participants for children aged 5-13yrs. The main 4 types of programs we offer include:

  • Sports
  • Crafts
  • Cooking
  • Special (leadership, holiday, etc.)

As a volunteer, you will be responsible for supporting our staff set up, oversee, and take down our programs.

Requirements

Children’s program volunteers must:

  • be minimum 14 years of age (parental consent is required for all applicants 18 and under)
  • be eligible to volunteer in Canada
