Location: Village Commons - Facilitator: Rainbow Families
Reporting to the Community Engagement and Partnerships Supervisor, the Rainbow Families Volunteer Facilitator facilitates the program. The Calgary rainbow families social group will provide a space for families with LGBTQ2S+ parents to connect and build relationships. The space includes a playroom area with toys and books for young children as well as an art studio space where we could do crafts.
The group will be connected to Carya's Prime Time program (targeting children aged 0-6). While it will be connected with Prime Time, there will not be a strict upper age limit for children and we hope some families with children older than 6 years old will attend.
This group will be open to families with LGBTQ2S+ parents from any neighbourhood in Calgary.
