SHARE YOUR LOVE OF ART
Do you have a passion for art & volunteering?
Enjoy working with people of all different ages & backgrounds?
As an integral part of the Museum’s educational program, volunteer docents lead interactive tours for groups of all ages. Docents provide visitors an opportunity to reflect upon, discuss, and even question the meaning of an artwork, creating a lasting relationship with modern & contemporary art.
WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT?
New docents complete an initial training course held in weekly sessions, which provides docents with the skills necessary to facilitate meaningful discussion around the Museum’s special exhibitions and permanent collection.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
In addition to receiving art and art history training, you will become part of a group of over 40 professionals devoted to sharing their love of art with the public. As a docent, you will meet curators, artists, and scholars and have the opportunity to participate in field trips and special docent-only events.
