As well as hydration being essential in recovery and maintaining health, we believe that social interaction is instrumental in a patient’s recovery from their period of ill health. Volunteers are required to drive and pick up medicines to support families who have a relative at the end of life at home, who do not wish to leave their relative. This support is so important at such a difficult time and so greatly appreciated.
Marie Curie and Warwick Hospital have joined together to offer a companions service to support people at the end of life. Spending time with patients and/or their relatives, we’re looking for volunteers to provide emotional support, a listening ear, and to simply be there for people at this very difficult time.
