Programming is held twice a week in a community based recreational facility. Volunteers would be asked to assist with pre & post program set up/take down (setting out automatic BP cuffs, putting out educational material, assisting clients with filling in their activity logs, etc . A large role for the volunteer is in walking with clients as they exercise and providing company, conversation, and encouragement, as well as alerting SHA program staff in the event any client needs assistance.
3 sessions run per year: second week of January to mid March, second week of May to the end of June, and second week of September to mid December. Programming subject to change in relation to facility availability.
