Adult Literacy Drop-In Program
We’re looking for volunteers to join our Adult Reading Help Drop-In Program, supporting adults with literacy needs in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
What’s involved?
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to participants working toward their personal learning goals
- Use library resources and real-life examples to make learning practical and engaging
- Attend Thursdays from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm during school terms
- Flexible rotational roster available if needed
Who can participate?
- Volunteers should have good literacy and communication skills, patience, and a willingness to learn techniques for adult learning
Training & Support
- Reading materials provided before you start
- Orientation and ongoing guidance from our Program Coordinator
- Police Check and DHS Screenings required
