Repair Cafe and Makerspace

Repair Café

The Repair Café is a welcoming space that is designed to help the community learn skills to repair and mend broken or damaged items and the Makerspace program is designed to teach the public how to create, tinker and make things.

 

Perfect opportunity for any volunteers who would like to share their skills and meet likeminded people in the community. We need your help with everything from computing and hacking to repairing household items. 

 

Individuals who enjoy creating, repairing and sharing skills are encouraged to apply.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation and pack up of materials
  • Share knowledge and skills with community members on how to mend, repair, create and tinker
  • Assist STEM Library staff as required during the activities and events
  • Provide added support to participants

When and Where

Repair Café - 1pm to 3pm every 2nd Sunday of each month at the Parks Library. (Vacancy)

 

Makerspace - Volunteers can support the Makerspace Monday-Sunday during Library hours at the Parks Library. (Vacancy)
