Sewing Advisory

Sewing Advisory Volunteer

The City of PAE Libraries have 6 Brother Sewing Machines available for community members to use across the library service, yet many people need support in learning how to operate these machines safely and effectively. The Parks Library’s weekly ‘Sewing Advisory’ program provides a fun, relaxed and safe environment for members of the community to work on their sewing projects with the practical guidance of skilled volunteers.

The Community Learning team is currently recruiting new volunteers to assist in facilitating the Sewing Advisory program at the Parks Library. We are looking for volunteers who love sewing and have a passion for sharing their skills with the community, as well as patience to teach and guide beginners. Volunteers are not expected to be experts, however a high level of sewing skill is preferable.
