Sewing Advisory

Sewing Program (Libraries)

PAE Libraries offer access to a range of sewing machines and resources for community members. However, many people need support in learning how to operate a sewing machine and complete sewing projects safely and effectively. The Parks Library offers 3 fun, welcoming and practical programs to help members of the community build skills and work on sewing projects with the practical guidance of skilled volunteers.

The Libraries Community Learning team is currently recruiting new volunteers to assist in facilitating the Parks Library sewing programs. We are looking for volunteers who love sewing and have a passion for sharing their skills with the community, as well as the patience and flexibility to teach and guide beginners. Sewing volunteers are not expected to be experts, however a high level of sewing skill is preferable.

More information about the Parks Library sewing programs can be found here: https://collections.humanitix.com/sewing-programs.
