Food Crew - Community Lunches

The community lunch at Osborne Hall provides a nutritious meal each week to vulnerable community along with social connections in a fun and welcoming environment. Volunteers support with food preparation and service delivery.
Responsibilities

Wednesday Crew
- Work collaboratively in the planning, preparation of meals on a Wednesday
- Assisting with the collection, sorting, washing and distribution of fresh produce
- Cleaning up after food preparation
- Maintain a clean work area
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Participate in training opportunities
- Attend volunteer meetings as needed
Thursday Crew
- Work collaboratively in the preparation & service of meals on a Thursday
- Assists with the setting up Osborne Hall for the Community Lunch
- Cleaning up after the lunch
- Assist community with checking in on arrival
- Maintain a clean work area
- Support community to build social connections
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Participate in training opportunities
- Attend volunteer meetings as needed
Requirements and Conditions
- Satisfactory National Police Check
- Satisfactory DHS Working with Children Check
- Having some experience in the kitchen, cooking or sharing skills with others would be helpful but is not essential

- Community Lunch - 4 hours on a Wednesday (cooking)
- Community Lunch- 5 hours on a Thursday (service delivery)
