Help spread the word about Tanglewood while in our Community! We get invited to hundreds of events a year but can only attend the ones that our volunteers can make it to!
** This position is great for someone who doesn't have availability during our normal operating hours as it often happens on weekends or in the evenings**
Help with our educational programming!
We most need assistant-educator help March through June, Tuesday-Friday between 9-11:30am
Education Stations volunteers happen year round!
Saturday's can be one of our busiest days with birthday parties and programming! Having an extra person really helps us out!
Help care for over 40 different types of animals that call Tanglewood home!
Help care for over 10 miles of trails!
**This is a good option for people who like to work independently and want a flexible volunteering schedule as you do this job on your own and report back to the Volunteer Coordinator***
Help us send out any large mailings (including postcards, newsletters, and events flyers) to our members and the community.

Candidates should be an undergraduate working towards a degree in environmental science or studies, ecology, biology, education, or another closely related field. Experience or interest in education, and strong oral communication skills preferred. Position involves assisting with field trips, summer education workshops and programs, as well as guided tours and hikes.
Candidate should be an undergraduate with experience in handling and caring for mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and/or raptors. A background in environmental science or studies, ecology, biology, or other closely related field is preferred. Candidate must be self-directed and highly motivated. This position has duties including cleaning, maintaining and designing museum exhibit areas, feeding and healthcare for animals, and handling/ socializing animals.
Candidate should be an undergraduate with an interest in nonprofit management. Candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Windows, Word, Adobe, html preferred. This position involves assisting our staff with marketing, social media, fundraising and event planning, operating the gift shop and aiding visitors.
