Heritage Volunteering Group

Building on an earlier careers workshop, Making the next steps on 26/09/2025, we begin to explore the specific pathways for career progression within the heritage sector and beyond.

In this workshop you will be guided through facilitated exercises to help you identify the pathways from Volunteer Coordinator to Head of Volunteering. Hearing from individuals who have made that journey, working with others who want to make that journey and using occupational standards and job descriptions to undertake a gap analysis to inform professional profile and practice development plans.

As part of attending this workshop there will be some light-touch pre-engagement activities so we can make the most of the time we have together.

This session will be led by Tamsin Russell, HVG Executive Board.

• There will be a short comfort break halfway through. 
• You don't need to have attended the earlier careers workshop to attend this one.
