Special Events
We run a varied programme of public events, from concerts and performances, to talks and lectures. Our events volunteers welcome visitors to John Wesley's New Room and are key to our audiences enjoying their time.
You may be asked to:
- Welcome people on arrival to the New Room
- Sell tickets at the Box Office
- Check tickets on entrance to the event
- Help serve refreshments in the cafe or bar
- Help set up and clear down venue for the event
- Answer visitor queries about the event and their visit to the New Room
- Promote future events
Our events programme is varied, with most events needing stewards taking place in the evening Mondays-Saturdays. Our regular folk music night takes place on Thursday evenings, with volunteers needed from 6pm-9.30pm.
