Maintenance
Volunteers should ideally have some practical experience in DIY and property maintenance. The work might be in the historic New Room or in the new visitors’ centre. Tasks are ad hoc and you will be instructed and supported by our existing team.
You may be asked to help with:
- Erecting shelves, pictures, ornaments, etc.
- Repairing damaged part of the existing fabric
- Simple plumbing / electrical repair issues
- Painting and decoration
- Inspecting/examining potentially vulnerable parts of the building
This is an ad hoc volunteer role that takes place during standard New Room opening hours, 10.30am-4pm, Monday-Saturday.
