Volunteers will respond to direct calls/bleeps for assistance in/to a number of key areas that we recognise as pinch points where volunteers support will enable the smooth running of the area.

Volunteers will be trained to respond to requests in real time situations and have the fluidity to move around according to the daily needs of the Trust.

This is a really exciting opportunity for volunteers to get involved in multiple areas across the hospital. You will go where the necessity is in the hospital, giving you an excellent understanding of the needs of a busy acute hospital.

You would be doing tasks such as: 

• Doing a tea round
• Transporting patients
• Do pharmacy runs
• Taking our mobile book trolley out
• Meaningful Activities with patients
• Other Ad Hoc tasks
• Talking to Patients

This list is not exhaustive and we will never make you do something you do not feel comfortable doing.
