In early 2025 we launched a brand new volunteering opportunity at our Trust:
‘Beauty & Uplift Volunteers’
This new role has been developed to make a positive impact to the lives of our inpatients. One of the more frequent responses in the feedback we receive from inpatients was about them not being able to get their hair cut or nails trimmed.
Beauty & Uplift Volunteers help deliver a meaningful service by offering simple hairdressing, shaving, hand massages, basic manicures and pedicures to our inpatients.
These small contributions go a long way to enhancing a patient’s wellbeing as well as boosting their self-esteem during their stay in hospital.
