Provider volunteers provide mental, social, emotional, and physical stimulation to residents
Group choirs, bands, individual piano players, piano/guitar recitals, performances, dance groups, school entertainment, old time dancing groups, hymn sing, story tellers.
 
Shifts vary dependent upon group availability:  

Assiniboia Union Hospital & LTC - Recreation Associate

The Recreation Associate assists with various activities at the site. They encourage client's participation in activities. 

Recreation Associate are the extra pair of "helping hands" that add to the trained services of the Long-term care facility staff, working together to enhance the lives of residents

Activities include, but are not limited to:  Reading groups, puzzles, games, bingo, nail painting, going for walks, group painting, crafts, exercise programs, and special events like Christmas parties and teas. Birthday parties, volunteer group outings.

Herbert 7 District Integrated Health Facility -Entertainment Provider

Provider volunteers provide mental, social, emotional, and physical stimulation to residents
Group choirs, bands, individual piano players, piano/guitar recitals, performances, dance groups, school entertainment, old time dancing groups, hymn sing, story tellers.

Will be a group settings never one on one, never transport residents
 
Shifts vary from individual to group and based on a monthly activity calendar 
Shifts available:  Monday to Sunday   8:00 am to 6:00 pm  

Herbert & District Integrated Health facility - Recreation Associate

The Recreation Associate assists with various activities at the site. They encourage client's participation in activities. 

Recreation Associate are the extra pair of "helping hands" that add to the trained services of the Long-term care facility staff, working together to enhance the lives of residents

Activities include, but are not limited to:  Reading groups, puzzles, games, bingo, nail painting, going for walks, group painting, crafts, exercise programs, and special events like Christmas parties and teas. Birthday parties, volunteer group outings, gardening.

Will be in 1:1 and group settings

Times vary from Individual to group and based on a monthly activity calendar 

Times vary:   Monday to Sunday, morning and afternoons 08:00 am to 6:00 pm

SW 6 - Meals on Wheels Associate

 

Meals on Wheels Volunteers deliver nutritious meals to clients assessed as needing support with nutrition.

 

Personal accomplishment, develop and enhance communication skills, learn new job skills & obtain a work routine, being involved & giving back to community.

 

Volunteer picks up meals at given time from the outlet and delivers to client in their home. 

 

Shifts vary, delivery over lunch time hours. 

 

Routes available:   Ponteix, Coronach, Assiniboia, Gravelbourg, Herbert, LaFleche, Mankota

Located in Mankota

Activities include, but are not limited to:  Reading groups, puzzles, games, bingo, nail painting, going for walks, group painting, crafts, exercise programs, and special events like Christmas parties and teas. Birthday parties, volunteer group outings.

Recreation Activities Volunteer - Assist Recreation staff with monthly calendar activities & events.  This may include, reading, visiting, escorting, hymn sings, crafts, games, outings, walking, Bingo, Campfires, gardening, etc. - 

Will be in 1:1 and group settings

Varies from Individual to Group and based on monthly activity calendar  

Shifts available  Sunday - Saturday   0800 am - 6:00 pm
