Position Title: Luncheon Club (Tues.) 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Fri.) 10am to 2:30pm

Goal of the Position
To provide safe space, encouragement to seniors who are socially isolated. To foster appropriate conversation. Assist Staff during program.
Position Responsibilities
- Van pick up/drop off: Pick up schedule from staff; meet driver; call clients to give them 10 min. notice. Assist/supervise client getting on/off van. Ensure seatbelt secured.
- Fri’s: discuss with staff of any client that needs assistance during outing. Ensure clients are aware of time/meeting location for trip home.
- Program Volunteer: arrive at 9:30am; make T/C; check in with staff member, ensure area set up; greet clients, chat until all have arrived.
- Assist/support staff during program, ensure clients leave program area together for Lunch in Dining room. Assist to serve, clear lunch to clients, foster conversation. If needed, assist to run dishwasher with staff supervision.
Position Boundaries
• Does not handle confidential member records independently.
• Does not provide medical, financial, or personal advice.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English required, Intermediate skills in other language considered in asset.
Other Requirements
- Valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Completion of General Onboarding Training
- Cell phone – to maintain contact with staff on outings
Risk Assessment
Risk Level: Low risk – indoor environment with staff supervision present.
Risk Level Fri. outings: Medium Risk; Staff are present.
Training and Supervision
Orientation provided by the Program Facilitator and Volunteer Coordinator.
Time Commitment
Tues: 9:30am to 1pm, Fri: 10am to 2:30 pm
