Town of Gilbert

Need: Volunteers of all ages are needed to assist Gilbert residents who, due to limited financial resources and/or physical limitations are needing assistance with some basic household services. Projects can include assistance with light outdoor yardwork, removal of boxes and bags for donations, light indoor housework cleaning, changing lightbulbs, air filters, and more.

Event Location 

• Page Commons - 170 N Oak St, Gilbert, AZ 85233 or
• Various Gilbert homes around within town boundaries 

Event time: 7:30am- 11:30am 

Ages: All ages welcome! However, volunteers under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during service time. 

Volunteering as a group?
We love group participation! Whether you're a school club, faith group, or workplace team, we can assign you to a project that fits your size and interests. Please have one group leader register and email melanie.dykstra@gilbertaz.gov to indicate your interest in serving as a group.  We’ll follow up to coordinate details.

To get started, please follow these steps to create your Better Impact account and submit your application:

Step 1: Apply to Volunteer

• Under “I would like ot Volunteer,” click “Fill in an application.”
• Complete and submit the form.
• Once your application is reviewed and approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
• All volunteers need an account, including minors. 

Step 2: Sign Up for Volunteer Activities
After you're accepted as a volunteer:

• Log back in to your account
• Click on the “Opportunities” tab.
• Select “Opportunity List” or “Calendar” to view available activities.
• Click on the activity you're interested in and select “Sign Up” to register.
• Please select a shift if you are interested in indoor work or outdoor work.
