Ecological Restoration Events - POSTPONED AGAIN - Jack Fleetwood Memorial Park Blackberry Bash

Jack Fleetwood Memorial Park in Cowichan Station

POSTPONED AGAIN!

The flow of the mighty Koksilah has climbed from 5 cms to a whopping 75 cms in the last 24 hours which means we will not be able to host our volunteer event there tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding!

Jack Fleetwood Memorial Park, a much-loved local swimming hole on the Koksilah River in Cowichan Station, needs a little TLC. Please join CVRD Parks and the Cowichan Estuary Nature Centre for this event in which we'll work together to remove invasive Himalayan blackberry which can outcompete important native vegetation.

Log in to sign up now. Please note you must sign up in advance for this event as space is limited!

Please contact the Parks Volunteer Coordinator with any questions you may have. elizabeth.aitken@cvrd.bc.ca, Office: 250.746.2649, Cell: 250.709.1739.
