Bolsa Chica SB - Special Events - Run for the Birds Beach Cleanup/Plogging
Join Bolsa Chica State Beach and the Amigos de Bolsa Chica for a volunteer event you won't forget on Saturday, April 25th.
The Run for the Birds is a timed run with a volunteer twist. You can also "plog" or pick up trash while jogging! There are races for both adults and kids. It's a unique way to be active outdoors while giving back to the environment.
If you're not into jogging, you can join the beach cleanup portion only.
SATURDAY, APRIL 25TH FROM 8 AM TO 11 AM
HOW TO SIGN UP: Sign up online on the Running is for the Birds webpage. You can sign up for just the beach cleanup or for "plogging".
FREE PARKING: Let the entrance attendant know you are there for a beach cleanup to receive free parking.
CHECK IN: EZ-ups in Lot 25 near Tower 28. From the entrance gate, keep to the right and follow the park road north to the last parking lot you pass, next to Tower 28. Park here. Check in is at the yellow and blue State Parks ez-up.
