Boulder Oaks County Preserve

Nestled in the hills of Alpine, Boulder Oaks offers shaded picnic areas, a playground, open fields, and a peaceful natural setting. It’s a great neighborhood spot for families, casual gatherings, and outdoor play.

  • The preserve has one host campsite with full hookups (electricity, water, and sewer).

Mt. Gower County Preserve

Trailhead: 17099 Gunn Stage Road, Ramona, CA 92065

This rugged preserve offers over 8 miles of challenging trails through chaparral, rock formations, and oak woodlands. Ideal for experienced hikers and equestrians, Mt. Gower rewards visitors with sweeping views of the Ramona Valley and the surrounding backcountry.

  • The preserve has one host campsite with partial hookups (electricity and sewer). A water tank fill location is available at Boulder Oaks County Preserve.

Ramona Grasslands County Preserve

This 3,500-acre preserve protects vital wildlife habitat and offers 4 miles of scenic trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Visitors enjoy rolling grasslands, seasonal wildflowers, and panoramic views—perfect for nature lovers and birdwatchers.

  • The preserve has one host campsite with full hookups (electricity, water, and sewer).
