Background
Sleep is an important part of health and should be incorporated into workplace health promotion programs. We are holding focus groups to inform REST Up: a new module in development as part of the POWERPLAY program.

POWERPLAY is a workplace health promotion program targeting men who work in traditionally male-dominated industries. Other POWERPLAY modules have been successfully implemented in forestry, trucking, and other male-dominated industries throughout Northern BC. We are currently implementing POWERPLAY in Alberta.

To learn more about the complete POWERPLAY program, visit www.powerplayatwork.com.

Roles and Responsibilities
We are looking for men working in traditionally male-dominated and resource-based industries in Alberta (such as Forestry, Pulp/Wood Mills, Oil and Gas, etc.) We want to know about your experiences with sleep - what motivates you to get enough sleep? What are the barriers and facilitators to getting enough sleep? We want to hear about it! We want to learn from you what are the best ways to engage men in healthy sleep habits as we develop learning modules (education materials). Come have a coffee with us and share your thoughts.

Participation is voluntary, and you can withdraw from the discussion group at any time. All information you share is confidential, and your name and experiences will not be shared with your employer.

Time Commitment
The discussion groups will take place in June in Edmonton and Sherwood Park. Other groups and locations may be scheduled if there is additional interest.

Reimbursement/Compensation
As a thank-you for sharing your experience, you'll receive a $50.00 gift card!
