F - Committee Membership - Research Committee Member

Selected by the Chairperson for a 2 year term. Participate in activities to promote the development of research-based nephrology nursing practice including educational programming that unites, practice, education, and research, promotion of completion and publication of research, working toward evidence-based practice and facilitating utilization of research findings in practice. Review research abstracts and assists in the solicitation of applicants and nominees and selection of recipients of research-related awards and grants. Address issues that affect nephrology nursing research and represents ANNA and serves as a resource to other professional and health policy groups, as directed. Completed a minimum of master's degree in nursing or related field and course work in research theory and methodology during graduate education (master's or doctoral program); nephrology nursing experience or sound knowledge base in a single nephrology nursing subspecialty, participated in a research project in the capacity of principal, co-principal investigator, collaborator or research assistant. Knowledge of software and access to computer facilitated communication for E-mail and word processing.
