F - Committee Membership - Continuing Education Approval Board Member
Selected by the Chairperson for a 2 year term. Participates in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures as an accredited approver for continuing education in nursing that ensure quality programming according to the criteria established by the American Nurses Credentialing Center - Commission on Accreditation and implements and evaluates the process for reviewing, approving and awarding contact hours for continuing education in nursing. (See ANNA website for detail about qualifications/requirements and role description, including time commitments and meeting expectations) Full member of ANNA for 3 years with 3 years of nephrology nursing or med surg experience. Baccalaureate degree, graduate degree preferred; at least one degree with a major in nursing. Chapter officer/committee experience preferred. Certification in nephrology nursing preferred. Experience in planning educational programs using ANCC-COA criteria. Knowledge of software and access to computer facilitated communication for E-mail and word processing.
