O - Health Policy and Advocacy - Capwiz Advisor (Member of the Health Policy Committee)
Selected by the Chairperson for a 2 year term. Oversees the use of Capwiz including identification of legislative issues that should be posted, preparation of letters for posting; promotion and tracking of the use of Capwiz. (See ANNA website for detail about qualifications/requirements and role description, including time commitments and meeting expectations) Full member of ANNA. 3 years experience in nephrology nursing, nephrology nursing certification preferred; member of ANA and/or state nurses' association, preferred. Established knowledge base in nephrology, transplantation and related therapies. Knowledge of and experience in legislative and regulatory process; past attendance at NIWI and/or ANNA Health Policy Workshop. Demonstrated public speaking and writing skills. Knowledge of software and access to computer facilitated communication for E-mail and word processing.
