D - Committee Chairs - Leadership Development Committee Chairperson

Appointed by the President-Elect with Board approval for a 2 year term, the first year serving as designate. Advances leadership development of elected and appointed members serving at all levels of ANNA, plans and implements educational activities, oversees the online Mentoring Program and Nephrology Nurses Week. Serves on the Education Committee. (See ANNA website for detail about qualifications/requirements and role description, including time commitments and meeting expectations) Full active member of ANNA for 5 years with service in an ANNA elected or appointed leadership role, preferably at the national level; 3 years of practice in nephrology nursing with current practice in a leadership or management role and broad knowledge of current health trends that impact on organizational development and volunteer and leadership issues, nephrology nursing certification preferred; experience in CE program planning; not serving on a CE planning committee of another nephrology association for duration of committee appointment. Knowledge of software and access to computer facilitated communication for E-mail and word processing.
