D - Committee Chairs - Continuing Education Approval Board Chairperson
Appointed by the President-Elect with Board approval for a 2 year term, the first year serving as designate. Establishes and maintains policies and procedures as an accredited approver for continuing education in nursing that ensure quality programming according to the criteria established by the American Nurses Credentialing Center - Commission on Accreditation and implements and evaluates the process for reviewing, approving and awarding contact hours for continuing education in nursing. (See ANNA website for detail about qualifications/requirements and role description, including time commitments and meeting expectations) Full member of ANNA for 3 years with 3 years of nephrology nursing experience. Must have a Masters degree with at baccalaureate or graduate degree in nursing. Prior experience as a CEAB member (peer reviewer). Certification in nephrology nursing preferred. Experience in interpreting criteria for continuing education in nursing. Knowledge of software and access to computer facilitated communication for E-mail and word processing.
